Bee Hive Homes is a franchise network with over 140 independently owned locations around the country. The Albuquerque West location is owned and operated by Albuquerque resident Gerald Hamilton, who also operates six other Bee Hive locations and has over 33 years of experience in senior care.

Franchise History

In 1987 Twayne Walker built the first Bee Hive Home in Meridian, Idaho. The motivation behind this innovative idea was developed around the concept that the elderly deserve a clean and comfortable family setting in a home at an affordable price when they reach a point in life where they need personal care assistance. Many homes then available did not provide a pleasant atmosphere where residents could live happily. To make matters worse, the cost of most facilities was out of reach for many of the elderly and their families. During the construction phase of the first Home, there was so much interest shown by potential residents that many of them were ready to move in as soon as it was completed. This kind of interest has continued unabated, and the demand is stronger than ever. This quickly led to the construction of five more Homes in Meridian area. In 1991 Twayne and Dennis Toland built the first Homes in Utah. The word spread about Bee Hive Homes. Many other individuals are now involved in operating their own Homes in various states.
