Jack Brings Back Bonus Jack(R)
Value priced $3.99 combo provides a big meal at a great price
SAN DIEGO — Remember when miniskirts ruled fashion runways and transistor radios were the ultimate in sound portability? It was during that time, in 1970, when Jack in the Box® restaurants debuted a double-patty cheeseburger called the Bonus Jack® that rocked the fast-food world. Hemlines eventually lengthened, transistor radios lost ground to 8-track cassettes, and Jack in the Box stopped selling Bonus Jacks. But with the nation's economy now floundering and Americans in need of a hearty gastronomic stimulus package, Jack is bringing back his Bonus Jack and serving it with the Secret Sauce that made it so deliciously famous.
For a limited time, Jack in the Box is offering a Bonus Jack Combo Meal, featuring the doublepatty cheeseburger along with a small order of fries and small drink, for the suggested price of $3.99, plus tax, at participating restaurants. The Bonus Jack features two beef patties topped with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, pickle and Secret Sauce and served in a triple-decker bun.
"This is a big burger and hearty meal at a very retro price," said Tammy Bailey, division vice president of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. "Our guests today can now experience a popular blast from Jack's past and a value-priced combo meal that is particularly appealing to those on a tight budget."
Jack in the Box Inc.
